Welcome
The purpose of this website is to provide information to members of the Burbank Men's Golf Club. Our club was founded in 1959, the same year our golf course DeBell opened to the public. At first, this site will offer: tournament schedule, tournament results, money list leaders, news and announcements. In the future, we may include: member profile, online payment of tournaments fees and memberships dues, an online discussion forum and highlights from recent tournament and social events.
HOW TO SIGN UP FOR A TOURNAMENT

Tournament Dates: Normally our monthly tournaments fall on the 2nd Saturday after the 1st Tuesday of the month (unless a major holiday falls on that weekend). These tournaments are open to all BMGC members. We also have 5 major tournaments each year. The major tournaments have a minimum requirement that, as of the tournament date, you must either be a BMGC member for 6 months or have a valid PLGA handicap for 3 months. The Tournament of Champions in January has an additional qualification (previous years tournament winners). The major tournaments are 2-day events except for the Sullivan Match Play Tournament in the summer. Depending on the tournament, we will have single-signups only, maximum twosome signups, and maximum foursome signups.
Tee Times: All of the tournament dates and formats can be found on the website. With a few exceptions, our tee times will begin at 9:00am . I can always accommodate a request for a late tee time. If you request an early tee time, most of the time I can accommodate your request if you have to go somewhere later on (wedding, etc.). However, if you asking for an early tee just for the sake of playing early, I cannot always make that happen. Tee times are put together on a totally random basis. If you are placed towards the bottom one month, you will not on the bottom the next month (unless you request it). We intend to reinstate our monthly meetings, where we may give preferential tee times to those who sign up at the meetings. Details on the meetings will follow in the coming months.
Signup Deadlines: The Monday before the tournament date (at 12:00 noon ). The tee times will be posted at the website on Tuesday morning or Tuesday afternoon, and faxed/emailed to the pro shop on Tuesday morning.
Tournament Fees: For the monthly tournaments, the fee is $10. For the major tournaments, the fee is $20. For the Tournament of Champions (January) and the Club Championship (June) the fee is $20 per flight. Green fees are to be paid separately at the pro shop. All tournament participants receive a small bucket of balls at the driving range.
Cancellation Policy: Please make your intentions knows within 48 hours of the tournament (either by email or telephone (818-781-7471)). We always have players who want to play at the last minute, so if we know you won't be able to play - we can get those last-minute signups on the course. Even if there is a last minute illness or emergency the morning of the tournament, please call the pro shop and let us know. If you do not show up with letting us know beforehand, we will charge you the $10 tournament fee
